Ramar Supply began in 1974 in the backseat of Harold Raber's car .
Selling Vitners snacks and chips to local taverns Harry bought a used ford van and expanded to disposables and some cleaning supplies.
The store-at-your-door concept took off and Ramar expanded again to an old Route truck from Vitners .
In 1976 Ramar rented a small store front and brought in more products .
Harry decided to leave his job and devote his efforts full time to the foodservice and supply business. Soon Harry was joined by his Wife Karen and more of his family .
The company grew out of the 79th street location after 15 years of expanding into the entire building. Ramar moved to its current location and expanded again to restaraunt equipment new and used.
Ramar also specializes in custom printed products for restaurants.
Ramar has 2 route trucks on the street 5 days a week and has a cash and carry showroom for wholesale and is open to the public.
Ramar is still operated by family and is dedicated to service to both small businesses and large corporations.
Full service equipment planning ,design and concept has been added over the last 10 years.
